Hello from our President!

Dr. Pamela E. Ray

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior! I pray this finds you, your families, and congregations well. I am elated and praise God for this opportunity to serve as Las Misiones District President for United Women in Faith (UWF). I am 3rd generation UMC and UWF. UWF was the foundation of my leadership development and understanding that service is not an option. I took this position in hopes to be an asset to an organization with a rich history that continues to evolve, change, and grow in discipleship for all of God’s children. My love for God is through UWF.

I want to share the vision, mission, and objectives. This administration will lead Las Misiones District UWF under the theme, “Sisterhood & Discipleship 3.0: Recharge, Rejuvenate and Renew.” Our leadership team’s work will be guided by Corinthians 14:40 that says, "Let all things be done decently and in order." This theme was developed with pride because “we are Las Misiones,” “we are UWF” that will “Be UMC” connected by a lifelong sisterhood and discipleship.

My goal for successful leadership is to “preside” and let the membership “decide.” This goal comes with a focus on:

• Recharging our units/circles, churches, and community

• Rejuvenating a sisterhood of lifelong membership

• Renewing our faithful dedication to serving maternal health, children, and youth

Objective: Utilize a 3T leadership approach that is inclusive for all members:

• Deliver Trustworthiness

• Impart Transparency

• Provide a Transmittal of information
